I had not planned for a serious effort, just a little fun in CQ 160 SSB contest this weekend. And fun was exactly what was provided, together with some snow to clear at the station! I decided to operate only for a few hours which finally ended up at a total of 12 hours casual

SMØMDG will be active from SEØX in the Stew Perry Topband Distance Challenge this weekend, December 18-19. Entry will be in SOHP. SMØMDG Björn was active from SEØX in the CQWW CW Contest working 2118 unique contacts in 39 hours of non-assisted activity. Propagation on lower bands was good but as usual 20 meters provided the most points and 15 meters supplied the most country multipliers. Only 22 contacts where logged on 10 meters but 40 meters
SEØX will be activated by me, SM0MDG, in the CQWW CW Contest this weekend. I will be entering in the SO-HP non assisted category with the goal to improve the scores from last year. The new 40 meter vertical phased array will be put to the test, but I will be on all bands. GL
Propagation in the SSB portion of the SAC 2010 Contest were weaker than in the CW portion two weeks earlier and it is reflected in the lower number of contacts, especially in 10 meter where only 4 contacts where made. Despite the slow propagation the final score was an improvement compared to the SAC SSB
The 2010 edition of the SAC CW Contest was fun as usual. Apart from being a race between teams and individual operators the SAC Contest is also a contest between the Scandinavian countries. I entered in the SO-HP category using the SE0X call. My personal goal for this contest was to beat last years result
I had made no plans in advance to participate in the RDAC – Russian Districts Award Contest this weekend, but couldn’t resist the temptation to spend an hour chasing a few points for fun. I decided to do a single band effort and since it was morning and 10 meter was open, the choice was
